This book is a very interesting and neat book. It centers around a teen by the name of Alex Petroski who is traveling to a science gathering to launch rockets. Alex is traveling with an ipod and he is recording everything that happens around him as he travels- his goal is to launch the ipod in his rocket with the hope that it will reach some alien civilization and teach them about Earth. The book is not in your typical format- each chapter is a RECORDING. Yes, a recording. So, some chapters are shorter than others and vice versa. During each recording installment, you’re “listening” to conversations he is having with people around him, or sometimes it’s just him talking directly to the recording, addressing the aliens that he hopes will be listening. There are highs and lows during his journey, and it captured my attention. I wanted to keep reading to find out what happens next. I liked the book. If it sounds interesting- give it a read!
