Sorry for going silent for several months, but I’m back!
Starting with this Netflix spy thriller show with Noah Centineo as Owen Hendricks, a rookie lawyer with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), who unwittingly gets pulled into international intrigue when a desperate former CIA asset threatens to expose the agency’s secrets unless they help her with her dilemma.
We watch over the span of two seasons as Owen basically ends up into the role of a spy, hopping around the world, often fighting not only for his life but also his conflicting sense of self preservation, and sense of honor or doing the right thing. He becomes a thorn for his superiors as he goes rogue disobeying orders, to get to the bottom of things.
I really liked the show and was bummed when I heard it would not be renewed for a third season due to declining viewership and high production costs. But as many of us know, just because a show loses viewers does not mean it is bad- it’s usually in the eyes of the beholder. So if you are looking for something new to binge, and haven’t seen this, give it a try!
