This Australian made movie (but shot in the UK) is one of Eddie Redmayne’s earliest roles in his acting career and is a psychological thriller. He acts superbly in this as Alex Forbes a student at a prep school, and so does Toni Collette as Sally Rowe, a forensic psychologist interviewing him after he is arrested as a suspect in a series of murders.

The movie starts with his arrest, and soon after by the arrival of the psychologist. He starts to tell her the story of how he met Nigel Colbie (Tom Sturridge) a new student at the school, who is very strange and creepy. In his story, he alleges that Nigel is behind the murders and has been playing with his (Alex’s mind).

But is he telling the truth or is he playing with Dr. Rowe’s mind? is what you are wondering as you watch this movie. It does keep in suspense, as you listen to his story, and you try to figure it out.

Now, while the acting was great by everyone involved, it wasn’t a movie that I got excited about. It was appropriately creepy at times, and a bit flat at others. Overall, it was just an okay movie. I thought it could have been done better. So, you could still give it a watch, just don’t expect anything spectacular.
