Many of you might remember the Anthrax attacks that took place in Sept-Oct of 2001, shortly after 9/11, where anthrax spores were mailed to people, killing 5 people and infecting 17 others. But what many of you might not remember as well is the ricin attacks during April 2013, where letters laced with ricin were mailed out. First to Republican Senator Roger Wicker, then Judge Sadie Holland (the mother of state representative Steve Holland), and more infamously, mailed to President Barack Obama.

This documentary gives us a look into the crazy story of all the events that happened that led up to the letters being sent out. We learn about a lot of odd characters in Tupelo Mississippi. We get a look into the devastating effects of obsession. We get a look into the obsession with Elvis. We get a look into the dynamics of a family, for the better or worse.

Honestly, when I watched this documentary, I was reminded of the strangeness of the documentary Tiger King, that some of you may be aware of (about a tiger sanctuary, and the odd people involved). It’s like “These people are so strange!”, but you can’t stop watching. If this doc sounds interesting to you, check it out on Netflix!
