The main characters in this romance/drama movie are Chris Douglas (Nicholas Hamilton), and Riley Stanheight (Alexandra Shipp). They are teenage seniors who are in love and nearing the end of their senior year, when Chris dies in a tragic accident.

Riley is inconsolable unable to move on and in deep grief. Chris finds himself in the “between”, this world and the next, struggling to adapt to what happened. It isn’t long before they both realize they can supernaturally connect and speak to one other whenever she draws him. They are thrilled with this discovery, and don’t immediately realize that it may come at some kind of cost. I won’t say any more than that in case you want to watch it.

I would describe this movie as being about grief, love, forgiveness and figuring out what you are meant to do all together in one way or another. I enjoyed this movie- and actually just watched it recently for the second or third time since it came out.
