This is a scheduled post that I scheduled to post at a later date, as I try to spread out my posts, so you all aren’t getting hit with too many posts in a day. But I just finished watching this movie- it’s actually my second time watching this. And I wanted to write about it while it’s still fresh in my head.

This is a movie directed by the great actress/director Jodie Foster. Lee Gates (George Clooney) is a wall street expert who hosts a television show- and one day, he is hosting a live program as his director Patty (Julia Roberts) is overseeing things from the control booth, when an armed man, Kyle (Jack O’ Connell) suddenly appears and takes Lee hostage. Kyle is facing financial ruin after a failed investment in a company that was recommended by Lee. He holds Lee responsible. Now Lee and Patty are racing against time to defuse the situation before it becomes deadly. There are then all these different moving parts- within the studio, with the cops outside, and elsewhere.

There are some similarities between this movie and an episode of a cop drama show I saw called Flashpoint- but they were different situations with different characters and outcome. Clooney, Roberts, and O’Connell, all does a great job in this movie and so does the rest of the supporting cast. It’s a bit of one of these movies where not everything is what it seems- and all throughout the movie, you’re rooting for justice to prevail- but what that is, i won’t tell you. You would have to watch this movie to find out! I enjoyed this drama movie, and you probably will too if you like thrillers like this.
