This movie tells the true story of 4 college students who decide to attempt a daring heist at the library at Transylvania University in 2004. The goal was to steal a bunch of rare art books worth millions. The 4 college students are played by Evan Peters, Barry Keoghan, Blake Jenner, and Jared Abrahamson. The movie alternates between the 4 actors playing out the story, and the 4 real life people telling their versions of events.
I really enjoyed this movie, because as I’ve said before in other posts- I am a sucker for movies based on true events. While I am sure the movie took a little bit of dramatic liberties with a few details of the story, it still gives a mostly true, and intense accounting of what occurred. It is really unbelievable what these guys did, and to see the reenactment of it. I don’t want to sound like I am endorsing what happened at all, because I am not. But I am all about learning about things that happened- the what, the how, and the why.
All 4 characters brings different personalities and skills to the scheme, and all 4 actors did an amazing job of conveying these personalities and skills, so we all could see how they all brought together the scheme, and how it played out. I recommend checking this movie out- I would be curious as to what you all think!
