There are probably very a few people who don’t know this movie, or the famous quote “You can’t handle the truth!” uttered by Jack Nicholson’s character, Colonel Nathan Jessup. But for those who don’t know this movie- two marines are on trial in connection with the death of one of their fellow soldiers. Lt. Daniel Kaffee (played by Tom Cruise) is assigned to defend the men with the help of Lieutenant Junior Grade Sam Weinberg (Played by Kevin Pollak), and Lt. Commander Joanne Galloway (played by Demi Moore). The prosecution is led by Captain Jack Ross (played by Kevin Bacon).

So that’s a stellar cast right there. It’s a fun courtroom drama, where both sides are throwing volleys at each other, trying to win over the jury. There are mind games, and twists. One of director Rob Reiner’s best films in my opinion. One of the best movies for the entire cast as well. I also liked how you can see the evolution of Lt. Kaffee’s character from a cocky lawyer in the beginning to a serious lawyer who cares about his clients and doing the right thing.

The Late Jt Walsh, and Kiefer Sutherland also have superb supporting roles in this movie, and if you look closely, you can see cameos with Cuba Gooding Jr, Noah Wylie, Xander Berkeley, and Matt Craven.

Definitely one of my favorites- check it out!
