This is an autobiography that I read a few months ago and loved it. You might recognize Tom Felton as the actor who played Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter movie series. This book gives his personal account of growing up, his entry into the acting world, the challenges he faced on and off set.
My favorite part of the book are the memories he shared of his experiences on set of movies and tv shows he was in. it gives a fun fly on the wall view in the behind-the-scenes stuff of making these films and shows.
I also enjoyed how he sets a humorous tone throughout the book, and I laughed at times at his jokes and sarcastic comments. I also appreciated his openness and honesty in talking about some difficult times he faced throughout his life. It’s always refreshing when someone is open, upfront, and doesn’t put up a facade. It also serves as a stark reminder that the people we see on screen, are usually not the people off screen. They might seem like they lead a happy, glamorous life, but sometimes there are other things that are going on behind the scenes. This is true for anyone we meet in life as well- we should never presume to think we know everything about someone.
I recommend this book as a read!
