Imagine you’re almost 10 years old, and you’re secretly searching around the house for hidden presents, and you stumble onto a box containing press clippings that are nearly 10 years old, and they are all about you. All about how you were kidnapped as a baby from the hospital where you were born, by a woman pretending to be a nurse. Mind boggling, right?

Well, that is the basis of this nonfiction book- it happened to the author in 1964, and it set off a long, painful and wild journey by the author to find out the story of what really happened that day and figure out who he really is. And the twists just keep coming, just like it was a movie, only its true! There are many layers to the story that are peeled back throughout the book.

It’s a tough book to read at times, as it is heartbreaking at times, but I could not put this book down. There were a lot of late nights reading- “just one more chapter…” I keep telling myself. If you are into nonfiction books- I recommend this one!
