This military movie about a mutiny on a US submarine is one of my all favorite movies. The United States is on verge of war with Russia, when Captain Frank Ramsey (played by the great Gene Hackman) and his newly promoted executive officer Lt. Commander Ron Hunter (played by the equally skilled Denzel Washington) who are in charge of the submarine USS Alabama, receive orders, and end up clashing with each other about what the orders are and what it means and it leads to a mutiny. The supporting cast includes Matt Craven, the late George Dzunda, Viggo Mortensen, the late James Gandolifini and Steve Zahn. This movie is currently hard to find as it is not playing on any streaming services currently, but if you ever get a chance someday, I recommend checking it out if you haven’t!
